I am a RYT350 and RCYT who is passionate about supporting the wellbeing and holistic development of children.
I found the practice of Yoga during my first year as a primary teacher. In looking for a way to manage stress and overwhelm. Asana allowed me to escape from the cycle of thought patterns and to be imperfectly perfect, however I showed up each day.
However, over time, practice has taught me so much more. To accept and celebrate myself in my simple being while mindful awareness has taught me to allow and flow through the changing phases of life. To live my life being curious and inquisitive, showing up in the world a little better each day that I learn something new about myself.
I enjoy the connection to the moon in this sense; appreciating that although we may evolve and move through different phases and cycles, we are still whole and magic in our being.
My wish is for children to learn self awareness and acceptance through these beautiful and powerful practices. Life can feel increasingly fast paced; to learn and appreciate the act of slowing down might just allow children to cultivate contentment in their own simple and magical being.
