I believe that children learn most authentically through play and my children's yoga classes are fun, upbeat and creative.
I love to include songs, stories, non-competitive games and art and craft activities to engage and motivate children while instilling mindful awareness into each activity.
Yoga asana, breathing practices and relaxation are important components of my offerings with Yoga philosophy principles such as acceptance, compassion and kindness weaved throughout.

Throughout my time teaching in early childhood classrooms, I have witnessed the extraordinary impact that adults have in modelling self-care and wellbeing practices.

Benefits of yoga
Yoga asana can help children and young people to develop physical strength, flexibility and confidence in the capabilities of their bodies; which in addition to learning about self-acceptance and emotional literacy can support the development of a positive body image and positive connection to self.
Most importantly, yoga can help children and teens to simply 'be' as they are on each new day. This is an important state to learn to be in; and teaches that regardless of how we show up and feel each day, we can learn to be, connect with, accept and love ourselves unconditionally while shining this compassion outwardly to others.
